Training a dog in obedience can be an ongoing and lengthy process depending on the dog, the methods used, and the skill and understanding of both the trainer and the handler. The level of obedience the handler wishes to achieve with the dog is also a major factor in the time involved, as is the commitment to training by the handler.

If you don't train your dog or puppy they will become hyper, confused, and disobedient. They will assume that they are the pack leader of your entire family. They will lose respect for you and assume that you are beneath them in the pack order.  We teach owners how to properly and effectively communicate with and understand your dog or puppy.

In our obedience program you and your dog or puppy will attend a half-an-hour private training session, once a week. We will teach you and your dog both voice and hand commands. Also, Colorado Canine Training can work with your dog to solve any behavioral issues they may have. Private training sessions usually run six to eight weeks or until your dog or puppy is ready to join group training classes.

In group training classes your dog will learn to comply with your commands, no matter what the distraction may be.
